Drivers to face delays during M275 works

Have your say

MINOR delays are expected on the M275 this week while maintenance is done on the motorway.

Work will take place from 8pm to 5am from tomorrow through to Saturday.

No lane closures will be put in place until evening rush hour traffic has cleared.

The Rudmore flyover will be closed from 8pm tomorrow while work begins on the northbound carriageway.

Then from 10.30pm the northbound motorway will be completely closed north of Rudmore roundabout.

Traffic will be diverted along Twyford Avenue and Northern Parade.

Two nights of work on the southbound carriageway will begin from 10pm on Thursday.

Each night only one lane will be available for vehicles coming into the city.

Diversions will be put in place.

Following each night’s work, the motorway will be reopened by 5am.

Road contractors Colas expect there to be minimal delays, but would advise anyone travelling during the working hours to allow extra time for their journey.

The firm will also be completing all necessary maintenance works, including litter picking, road sweeping and strimming of vegetation, over the three days.
