DRIVERS are being warned of potential delays overnight on the M275.

Work to install signs on the motorway will be carried out on Wednesday night.

The southbound carriageway will be closed in full from 10pm on Wednesday and will reopen at 6am on Thursday.

Traffic travelling into the city on the A27 west will be diverted off at Eastern Road or Northern Parade.

Traffic travelling east on the M27 will continue past the M275 turn-off, to the Farlington junction where they will leave and rejoin the A27 west at Farlington roundabout and be diverted off the A27 at Eastern Road or Northern Parade.

Single lane closures will be in place on the northbound carriageway from 9pm and are due to be lifted at 6am on Thursday.

The middle and outside lanes will stay open.

Additionally, the inside lane of Western Road will also be closed during the work and traffic travelling into the city from the North Harbour area will be diverted via Western Road, Portsbridge and Northern Parade.

Diversions will be signposted and 
road users are advised to follow the diversions as instructed to minimise delays.
