ROAD resurfacing is set to close part of a major Portsmouth road for four nights.
Drivers are being asked to avoid a section of Eastern Road from Wednesday, April 11 to Monday, April 16, while work is being carried out.
From 8pm to 5.30am, southbound traffic will not be able to use the road from the Farlington roundabout to Anchorage Road for the first two nights.
Northbound traffic will not be able to use the road from Anchorage Road to the Farlington roundabout for the second two nights.
Traffic will be diverted via London Road, Norway Road, Anchorage Road and Eastern Road for both directions.
This is to allow Colas, Portsmouth City Council’s highways contractor, to resurface the bridge section of the road also known as Langstone Bridge.
Colas surfacing agent Steve Johns said: ‘We’re sorry for the inconvenience the works may cause.
‘We’d like to thank people for their patience and understanding during this work.’
