EMERGENCY services were called to reports of a van on fire on the A27 this morning.

The incident, shortly after 6am, was on the westbound carriageway near Chichester.

Drivers faced delays while police and ambulance services attended.

A police spokesman said: ‘Both police and fire units were stood down from the scene at 6.50am. No one was injured during the incident.’
