A FAREHAM coach firm has won the contract to take Pompey fans to away games.

Fans will ride on board Lucketts Travel for the first time on Saturday, January 8, to the clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The coach firm, which offers first class travel, was recently appointed by Portsmouth Football Club as its official transport provider.

The family-owned business has been running since 1926.

Paul Barringer, sale director for Lucketts, said: ‘Portsmouth fans are known to be some of the most passionate in football and our fleet of coaches is among the best in the business.

‘It’s a match made in football heaven.

‘We look forward to getting Pompey fans to the games in reassuring comfort and style.’

Nick Byrom, Portsmouth Football Club’s commercial director, said: ‘Portsmouth Football Club is pleased to announce Lucketts Travel as its new away travel coach provider.

‘Lucketts has undertaken our Pompey Academy work for several years and this is a natural extension of this relationship.

‘Its high quality vehicles, exacting operational standards and great customer service is everything we’re looking for in a transport provider.’

Tickets for the game will be on sale from Thursday 15th December 2011.
