Fareham railway station has re-opened after a week of improvement works.

Network Rail closed the station on October 22 to carry out £4.6million worth of upgrades, with trains suspended between Havant and Swanwick.

As part of the works, the station’s forecourt was resurfaced, access to the station has been improved, a new accessible toilet has been installed on the island platform and the existing toilets have been upgraded.

Engineers have also replaced nine sets of points along the line, as well as 240 metres of track.
