A road has been closed after an accident in Portsmouth.

Five cars were involved in the crash in Flathouse Quay Road at its junction with Herbert Street, but there were no injuries.

It happened just before 7.30pm tonight.

The cars involved were a black Mini, a Subaru Impreza, a Honda Accord, a BMW 330 and a Skoda Octavia.

The Mini and the Subaru could not be driven off and were blocking the road.

A police spokeswoman said that officers closed the road so the cars could be cleared and put diversions.
