MOTORISTS in Gosport are being warned that a road in the town will be closed while resurfacing is carried out.

As part of its Operation Resilience programme, Hampshire County Council will carry out road resurfacing in South Street, Gosport from South Cross Street to Haslar Road. Work is expected to start on Wednesday, April 18.

It will be carried out overnight for two nights. In order to carry out the work safely, the council will close the road to traffic on both nights from approximately 8pm through until 6am the following morning.
