COMMUTERS will be hit again this morning with disruption and road closures because of the bad weather currently being experienced.
Hover Travel services are currently suspended between Southsea and Ryde because of ‘adverse weather’.
The conditions have meant the company has temporarily stopped services, it was announced shortly after 7am.
On the roads, Titchfield Hill in Titchfield is closed at the East Street junction because of flooding.
There is also flooding on Wallington Shore Road in Fareham at the East Hill Close junction and A32 School Road in Wickham at the B2177 Southwick Road junction.
One flood warning remains in place this morning in South Hayling.
The Environment Agency said yesterday there was a risk at Eastoke Seafront and South Hayling.
It says: ‘The high spring tides which occurred over the previous weekend, has given rise to beach depletion along the South Hayling seafront. This has given rise to a reduced defence level. Consequently spray over topping, as a result of high winds, may give rise to property flooding.
‘Areas at risk of property flooding are Wheatlands Avenue, Nutbourne Road and in particular Southwood Road. Havant Borough council are currently on site pumping out the storage area to the rear of the beach next to the promenade in an attempt to reduce further impacts.’
