Highways England says it is looking into dulling noise from the M27

HIGHWAYS England, which is responsible for the M27, has said it is looking at ways to dull the roar of the road.

A spokesman said: ‘We are currently looking at the feasibility of introducing noise mitigation features within the current structure of the road and hope to make an announcement shortly.

‘We are looking at different ways of lowering noise levels in this area and 2,500 others across England.’

As reported last week, Fareham MP Suella Fernandes and Portsmouth North MP Penny Mordaunt both said they would like to see noise barriers installed.
