A CAR crashed into the central reservation on the M27 after colliding with a van.

Now Hampshire police want to find the driver of the white van after the crash as it stopped but then drove off.

The black Vauxhall Corsa crashed at 7.25am on Friday just after junction 12 for Portsmouth on the westbound carriageway.

A police statement said the van stopped on the hard shoulder for a few minutes before driving off.

It added: ‘Fortunately no one was injured but officers want to speak to the driver of the white van as they investigate the exact circumstances of the collision.’

Anyone with information should call PC Jim Chapman, from the Roads Policing Unit based at Havant police station on 101, quoting 44160072445.
