A NEW cruise ship has made Portsmouth its home, after docking at the city’s port at the weekend.

Specialist cruise liner The Discovery, operated by Voyages of Discovery, part of All Leisure Group, will be based at Portsmouth International Port for the next five years.

The group will have two other liners, the Minerva and the Hebridean Princess, based at the port.

Martin Putman, port manager, said: ‘We know that All Leisure Group has chosen Portsmouth as a UK base because of our excellent transport links and superb new facilities.

‘We look forward to welcoming thousands of its customers over the next five years.’
