M27: Drivers face delays of over 75 minutes

MOTORISTS on the M27 will be delayed for over 75 minutes this morning.

Police were called at 8.30am to a broken down car which closed two lanes between Junction 8 at Bursledon and Junction 9 for Whiteley with delays back to Junction 5.

A police spokeswoman said: ‘A car has broken down in the middle of the carriageway due to an electrical fault.

‘There were issues with moving it and emergency recovery is taking place.’

ROMANSE also reported a road traffic incident which closed all lanes on the motorway earlier this morning in the same place.

All lanes are now reopened.
