A BADLY injured sailor was rescued from a yacht in The Solent.

Gosport & Fareham Inshore Rescue Service was sent to assist the man, who fell and was knocked unconscious after he hit his head during a sailing regatta.

He was then taken ashore and moved on to the pontoon at Camber Dock before being taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, for further treatment.
