Police are searching for the men, who had been at The Star and Garter pub.

Copnor Road resident Ashley Mills, 24, said he ran out of his house after the collision and tried to stop one of the fleeing men, but then he was hit by one of the man’s friends who had also been at the pub.

Mr Mills said a Toyota Aygo he had as a replacement vehicle while his car was being repaired was one of the cars damaged.

He said: ‘We were inside and we heard a loud bang. Then we ran outside and saw our cars all over the place.’
