A MOTHER was taken to hospital after her car collided with a heavy goods vehicle.

The incident in Crookhorn Lane, Waterlooville, happened at about 3.30pm yesterday.

A woman who was driving the car was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, to be treated for minor spinal injuries.

Her daughter, who was in the passenger seat, did not need treatment. Two fire engines from Cosham and one from Waterlooville attended.

They checked over the car before ambulance staff took over.
