FOUR vehicles have crashed on the M27 during the morning rush hour.

Police were called at 7.03am to the westbound carriageway between junctions eight and nine after a Peugeot, Vauxhall and a Volkswagen car collided with a Renault van.

All four vehicles were travelling in the fast lane.

Two motorists have suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene by South Central Ambulance Service.

Police officers are still on the scene.

The motorway was closed whilst the emergency services dealt with the incident but all lanes were reopened at just after 8am.
