A MAIN road was reopened to normal traffic flow over the weekend following a gas leak.

Newgate Lane, in Fareham, was closed for most of Friday after a dumper truck hit the gas main. By Friday evening, temporary traffic lights had been installed to limit queues during rush hour.

On Saturday, the lights were removed and the road was fully open as before.

Parts of Gosport and Fareham were brought to a standstill on Friday following the closure.
