A PRESERVED steam train will bring the sight and smell of a bygone era to Portsmouth this weekend.

The 70000 Britannia steam train will arrive at Portsmouth Harbour train station at 12.30pm on Saturday as part of an arranged trip called The Pompey Pacific.

It is famous for having carried the body of King George VI after his death in 1952.
