WORK to improve the car parks in Portchester has finished ahead of schedule.

The resurfacing works at the Portchester Precinct car parks have been completed, with all of them now reopened for business.

Councillor Trevor Cartwright, executive member for public protection, said the work was carried out swiftly.

‘I’d like to thank members of the public for their co-operation and patience during this time, which allowed the works to be carried out as quickly as possible.

‘And also the contractors Colas who have completed the works ahead of schedule and with minimum disruption.’
