A TRACTOR driver arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after hay bales crushed a car has been rebailed.

The 26-year-old, from Selsey, was questioned on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after the incident on September 28 in Sidlesham.

Mick Daish, 70, of Compton Road, Hilsea, was on his way to work when large bales of hay fell on to his car from a trailer being towed by a tractor.

The driver must now answer bail on July 10, pending further inquiries by the police.
