A RAILWAY line that has been closed after flooding caused landslips will be shut until the middle of the March.

As reported, the track at Botley is currently unsupported and trains are unable to run between Eastleigh and Fareham on the route via Botley and Hedge End.

South West Trains has estimated work will continue to be carried out until the middle of March.

The main landslip site is an 80-metre section of embankment where the railway is built up above the level of the land. The slip happened on February 3.
