RESURFACING work for a major road in Havant town centre will take place next month.

Officials at Havant Borough Council say the resurfacing of Park Road North and Park Road South will start on Wednesday, July 17.

The work will involve planing out the old road surface and will take place from 8.45am to 4.30pm and 7pm to 11pm each day.

This work is due to take three days.

From Monday, July 22, there will be resurfacing during the same hours. The work should finish on July 25.

Steve Mountain, special projects engineer, said: ‘This arrangement means that more work is being done during daylight hours, with a corresponding reduction in night working.

‘We will only be outside a particular address for a small part of the overall schedule.’
