A MAJOR road into Portsmouth will be closed for 10 nights.

Highways England will be carrying out roadworks to the M275 southbound carriageway between Hilsea and the Rudmore roundabout.

It will start this evening at 10pm and the road will be closed until 6am on Tuesday.

Highways England say the roadworks are for carriageway maintenance. Diversions will be signposted.
