A TRAIN without a conductor travelled a short distance with its doors open.

The incident involved a Southern commuter train, at Reedham station in Surrey on Monday just after 6am.

A spokesperson for Southern, which serves Portsmouth, said the incident was down to ‘driver error’. It comes as Southern staff strike over the widespread introduction of driver-only trains, with no conductors.
