A 64-YEAR-OLD man was knocked down by a taxi in Gosport.

The incident happened outside Crown Bingo and Social Club, in Forton Road, Gosport, at 10.17pm on Monday.

The man was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital with minor injuries after he was hit by the silver Mondeo.

The road was closed by police after their arrival and was reopened at 10.45pm.
