A TEENAGER was taken to hospital following a hit-and-run.

The 18-year-old Portsmouth man was walking across Holbrook Road in Landport when he was hit by a Volkswagen estate.

The car then drove off. The victim was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham with two minor fractures to his skull.

His injuries were not life threatening and he is now recovering at home.

The hit-and-run happened shortly after 3am on Sunday but details have only just been released by police.
