THREE people had to be taken to hospital after a collision between a car and a lorry.

The accident happened at 8am this morning on the junction of Shore Lane and Coppice Hill in Bishop’s Waltham, near Fareham.

Two women in their 20s had to be cut from the Ford Fiesta they were travelling in. They were taken to Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The male driver of the 7.5 tonne lorry was taken to Southampton General Hospital with neck and back injuries.
