RAIL delays have been caused by a lorry crashing into a bridge.

Network Rail has reported minor disruptions – of up to 15 minutes – to their services between Portsmouth and Southampton.

These were caused after a lorry struck a bridge next to Fareham train station, in Station Road, at 4.40pm this evening.

Engineers carried out an inspection and trains were running again as normal by 5.25pm.
