TRAIN commuters suffered delays after a tree fell onto the London Waterloo line.

It happened at 5.50am today near Guildford. The fallen tree was quickly moved by a train guard and a driver but disruption continued until 8am.

There is currently a 30-minute delay on all services into and out of Portsmouth Harbour via Havant to London Waterloo.

Alternative routes where tickets will be accepted in the meantime include Southern.
