A MAN has gone to hospital after two cars crashed.

It happened at the junction of Portsdown Avenue and Solent Road, in Drayton, Portsmouth, at 6.50pm.

The male driver of the Renault Scenic went to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, with minor injuries. The female driver of the Volkswagen Golf was fine.

A clean up was taking place after a small amount of oil had spilled on Portsdown Avenue.

PC Stephen Johnson, of Fratton Roads Policing Unit, appealed for witnesses.

He said: ‘We don’t know the full circumstances yet.

‘Injuries were sustained by one of the drivers, believed to be minor.’
