Two Hampshire men killed in car accident

TWO young men have died after a car crash near Boarhunt.

The accident happened at around 11.05pm yesterday on the B2177 Southwick to Boarhunt road.

A grey Mitsubishi lancer was travelling west bound towards Staple Cross Boarhunt when it left the road and suffered severe damage.

There were two occupants in the vehicle. The driver was a 24-year-old man from Southampton and the front seat passenger was a 23-year-old male from Botley.

Both men suffered serious injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Firefighters from Cosham fire station were called to the scene to remove the bodies from the vehicle.

Officers from the roads policing unit at Fratton are currently investigating the incident under Operation Adelite.
