TWO accidents on the M27 caused traffic chaos this morning.
Motorists face delays of more than an hour from junction seven at Hedge End through to junction 12 for Portsmouth following a crash on the eastbound carriageway.
The incident happened around 8am between junction 12 and A2030 Eastern Road.
Queues then began to form on the westbound carriageway, and drivers on the route then began to face heavy congestion after another accident happened on the hard shoulder just after junction seven for Hedge End.
Hampshire’s road traffic management system revealed traffic back to slow westbound from Whiteley.
But it’s now been reported that the delays are over and traffic on the motorway is beginning to run smoothly.
