ONGOING snowy weather has caused a ferry service to stop running.

Brittany Ferries has cancelled the 2.45pm Portsmouth to Caen ferry due to strong winds and heavy snow.

The 4.30pm service from Caen to Portsmouth has also been cancelled.

The firm said its Portsmouth and St Malo services are still running to schedule.

It comes as Brittany Ferries cancelled an earlier service between Portsmouth and Caen today, and earlier the Wightlink Portsmouth to Ryde Catamaran was also stopped.
