FIVE cars were involved in a collision at a Portsmouth roundabout this morning.

The accident at Portsbridge Roundabout, in Hilsea, happened after a car bumped into a vehicle, which caused others to bump into each other.

Police say traffic was travelling slowly at the time as queues of vehicles tried getting into Portsmouth.

Officers were called at 10.10am and one lane travelling southbound into the city was closed while the situation was dealt with.

The road was re-opened shortly just before everything was sorted at 11.30am.

Three motorists suffered ‘very minor’ injuries and no-one needed hospital treatment.
