FASTCAT services from Portsmouth to the Isle of Wight will be back to normal on Thursday morning.
On Wednesday departures from Portsmouth Harbour ran on a revised service, at quarter past the hour until 10.15pm.
A statement from Wightlink said the changes were due to engine problems with Wight Ryder II this morning.
It has now said: ‘We are pleased to confirm that the problem with Wight Ryder II has now been fixed and a normal service will resume on the Portsmouth Harbour - Ryde Pier Head from Thursday morning.’
The firm said anyone with concerns can call 0871 376 1000.
