A woman had to be freed from her car after a crash on the A3 this afternoon.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue said firefighters helped free her after the collision near junction 3 at Waterlooville at about 2.45pm.

She was then looked over by ambulance staff.

An eyewitness said the roof of the car, believed to be a light green Ford Focus, had to be taken off to retrieve the woman.
