A 76-year-old woman suffered serious injuries when her car hit a pedestrian in Gosport.

Police said the woman was seriously hurt after her green Ford Focus left the road at the junction of Mumby Road and Weevil Lane, Gosport, yesterday afternoon.

Police said the 27-year-old male pedestrian suffered minor injuries when he was hit by the car which also ploughed into railings.

Police have appealed for witnesses and also want to speak to the driver of a grey or silver car travelling north on Mumby Road when the accident happened at 3.20pm on Sunday.
