THE work of air traffic controllers at NATS, which has a control centre in Swanwick, is featuring in an upcoming TV series. Airport Live will appear on BBC2 from 8pm until 9pm tomorrow until Thursday.

It will focus on staff as they go about their day-to-day operations, managing around 1,400 aircraft movements at Heathrow each day.

Presenters will broadcast live from the control tower and find out more about the work that goes into making one of the world’s busiest airports work.
