SEVEN beautiful gardens will be open to the public this weekend to raise money for charity.

All have won awards in the annual gardening contest Fareham in Bloom.

Executive member for leisure and community councillor Connie Hockley said: ‘I’m always so impressed by the Fareham in Bloom entries.

‘I’d encourage people to go along to see some of the stunning gardens in Fareham.

‘People work extremely hard on their gardens and it’s always great to see the final results.’

Events will be held from 11am until 6pm tomorrow.

All money raised goes towards both Fareham and horticultural-based charities. The locations are: 10 Peak Drive, Fareham, 8 Birdwood Grove, Portchester, 51 Longmynd Drive, Fareham, 11 Brecon Close, Fareham, 20 Titchfield Park Road, Titchfield, 35 Warsash Road, Warsash and 213 Highlands Road, Fareham.

People attending can start at any one of the gardens to begin their tour.

Refreshments and plants will be on sale at selected gardens.

Tickets for the day cost £5 and include entry to all gardens.

To book tickets contact or Jean Kingdom on 01329 314 808.

There were originally eight gardens advertised to visit but one of the gardens has had to pull out; 2 Shenley Close will no longer be available to visit on the day.
