A HUSBAND and wife who died in a road tragedy have been named by police.

Albert Price, known as Bert, and his wife Jean Price died following a crash on the A143 in Ellingham, Norfolk, last Friday.

The couple lived in Liss and leave behind five children.

A statement from them read: ‘We are of course deeply mourning the sudden loss of our mum and dad, Bert and Jean. We wish to thank friends and relatives for the deluge of kind support at this difficult time, and especially praise the outstanding support and kindness of Norfolk Police and the staff at Norfolk and Norwich and Addenbrooke’s hospitals.

‘We are comforted in our grief by the fact that others involved in the collision were not seriously injured. Mum and dad had strong Christian faith, and we recognise that God has chosen to take them home, although completely sudden and unexpected for us, they remain together.

‘We could never imagine one of them without the other. Our prayers remain with the other families involved as they continue their recovery.’

Mr Price was aged in his 80s and Mrs Price in her 70s.

The crash involved three cars and happened at about 1.45pm.
