TWO people were cut out of their cars after a crash on a motorway slip road.

Police, paramedics and firefighters were called to junction nine of the M27, at Whiteley, at about 3pm.

Two cars, a Ford Focus and a Nissan Micra, were involved in a collision on the off-slip of the eastbound carriageway.

Two people in one of the cars were injured and another person was injured in the other.

Crews from Fareham, Redbridge and Hightown used cutting tools to remove the casualties from the cars.

One man was treated for neck and chest injuries and a woman for back injuries.

They were taken to hospital by ambulance.

A police spokesman said: ‘None of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.’
