TWO boys had to be rescued after becoming stuck in a lift when its doors wouldn’t open.

Two fire crews led by watch manager Robin Dello from Gosport fire station rescued the boys, both aged around 13, at a block of flats in Forton Road, Gosport.

It happened just after midday yesterday.

The firefighters were able to open the lift using a set of lift keys.

Because the lift was a floor level the firefighters did not have to winch it down, and the boys were unharmed.
