FIREFIGHTERS in Portsmouth dealt with two late-night car fires whose cause is still unknown.

The first was in The Pyramids Centre car park at 1.10am on Saturday morning, when a yellow Seat Leon on fire was put out by a crew from Southsea.

A second car fire took place in the Southwick Hill Road lay-by in Cosham at around 3.50am on Saturday.

One crew from nearby Cosham fire station put it out.

Both incidents are being investigated by Hampshire Fire and Rescue to find out how they started.
