TWO men were rescued from the Solent in separate incidents.

Independent lifeboat charity the Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service leapt into action after being alerted to a jetskier in trouble off Lee-on-the-Solent at about 1pm yesterday.

The Gosport Rescue Three craft was launched and towed the rider and his jetski to safety.

Meanwhile Gosport Rescue One lifeboat was called to an injured crewman who had fallen and lost consciousness onboard a yacht.

A crew member carried out first aid and the yacht was escorted to Haslar Marina before the patient was transferred to QA Hospital, Cosham.
