FIREFIGHTERS tackled two fires in the space of an hour yesterday.

Crews from Havant fire station used a hose to put out a small fire which began on a patch of grass in Scratchface Lane, Havant, at 5.15pm.

Firefighters then damped down the area.

Firefighters from Waterlooville were then sent out to extinguish a fire which started in a tumble dryer at a house in Cunningham Road, Waterlooville.

The call for this came in at 6.20pm.
