UK government learns its lessons from Iraq war say defence minister
DEFENCE secretary Michael Fallon says ministers need to ask whether they have made '˜significant changes' since the Iraq war.
The former minister for Portsmouth made his comments at a Parliamentary debate on Sir John Chilcot’s report on Britain’s involvement in the 2003 conflict.
Mr Fallon told MPs: ‘We should take a long, hard look at our decision-making processes,’
He added Sir John’s report would help the UK learn ‘vital lessons’ from the Iraq war.
