Have your say

ORGANISERS of Portsmouth’s first-ever ukulele festival say they are ready to get plucking.

From tomorrow the small Hawaiian guitar will be everywhere across the city for three days – there will be concerts, workshops and even a mass ukeathon at Trinity Methodist Church in Southsea.

Any profits from the event – called Pompulele – will be donated to The Rowans Hospice.

Organised by local ukulele fans the Pompey Pluckers, the festival is also being supported by the Musicroom, in Commercial Road, and the Southern Co-operative.
