SHIPPING union RMT is organising further protests in Portsmouth to raise awareness of the impact on shipping jobs of what it calls ‘exploitation of overseas workers’ by shipping companies.

The next day of protest against Condor Ferries will be at Portsmouth International Ferry Port on Tuesday from midday on Saturday, July 26 from 7am.

According to the union, Condor continues to recruit Ukrainian seafarers on pay as low as £2.35 per hour on vessels to the Channel Islands from Portsmouth.
