THE death of a University of Portsmouth student who fell from a teaching block yesterday is not being treated as suspicious.

Hampshire Constabulary has said Matthew Cole, 20, a final year student who died on Monday afternoon, fell from the ninth floor of Mercantile House in Hampshire Terrace and Wiltshire Street in the city centre.

Matthew, who comes from Bognor Regis, was studying forensic psychology at the university.

The coroner’s office has been notified of his death.
